So, as I’m trying to get back into photography, I’ve made some purchases. The main one being a Sony a7ii. Hey, Aaron, that’s an old camera, now there’s a Sony a7iii. Well, I’m not made of money and the a7ii does a lot of what I want (and was $500 off for a few weeks after the a7iii came out). Full-frame goodness with built-in image stabilization means I can use my old Minolta MD lenses from the 70s and 80s with just a simple tube adapter. They are actually very good lenses, so I’m happy with this direction I’m moving, so far.
Also, as I’m looking to get into more landscape-type photography, I acquired a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 lens. It’s quite sharp, though it does have some quirks — like a bit of barrel distortion — Lightroom has a lens profile that helps with this.
